Una Research Days Sees Huge Increase In Presentations

FLORENCE, Ala. - Seventy-two presentations, plus 17 Three Minute Thesis presentations will take place during the University of North Alabama 10th Annual Research Days, April 19-21 on UNA's campus. That number is a significant increase from the 47 presentations that took place last year, and event organizers said they're thrilled!
Research Days is an annual event that provides students with the opportunity to present their research either in poster format or orally, and then to interact in a professional environment where they are encouraged to discuss their research, both formally and informally.
In addition to the traditional poster and oral presentations, the event will feature the Three-Minute Thesis competition, symposiums, a Fulbright program overview and many other activities.
Student research poster presentations and illustrated paper presentations will take place April 19, in the GUC. Students will be stationed with their posters and available to discuss their research. Oral presentations will take place April 20-21 in the Stone Lodge. Each student presentation will run about 8-10 minutes, with an additional five minutes for questions.
The famed Three-Minute Thesis competition will be back this year. The final round of the university-wide competition will take place in the GUC Performance Center Tuesday, April 19, at 5 p.m. The Three-Minute Thesis (3MT) is an oral presentation competition that cultivates students' academic, presentation and research communication skills.
